Recipe technical sheet: blocks, templates and public link
All plans
Set up the technical sheet blocks, apply them to all your recipes with templates and share it as a PDF or a link, with or without the nested sheets.
What it is for
The technical sheet is the document your trade customers (shops, distributors, hotels) ask for, and the one the inspector wants to see alongside the label. Recipok builds it for you from the recipe: ingredients with allergens, composition, nutrition information, shelf life, weight and your company details. If you change the recipe, the sheet changes with it.
You decide which blocks appear, in what order and in which font, and you save it as a template so that all your sheets look the same. It is used by whoever looks after trade customers and whoever is in charge of quality.
Before you start
- The recipe must be complete: ingredients with their quantities, allergens and nutrition information checked. We explain this in Ingredient allergens and nutrition information.
- In Configuration › General Data, fill in your trading name, address, health registration number and logo (Add logo). These are what appear in the company details block.
- Enter the shelf-life days in Recipe data (Shelf life or best before (days)).
The blocks of the sheet
Open the recipe and, in the Recipe options menu, go to Technical Sheet. You will see the list of Content blocks: each one can be hidden, reordered by dragging it and edited.
| Block | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Company data | Name, address, health registration number and logo from Configuration. |
| Product name | The name of the food as sold. If you leave it blank, the recipe name is used. |
| Image and Date | The main photo of the recipe and the date of the sheet. |
| Ingredients | The list in descending order of weight with allergens highlighted (Allergens in bold or Allergens in capital letters). You can Hide ingredient percentages and set the percentage of each one in Percentages per ingredient (QUID). |
| Composition | The qualitative and quantitative table. Show weight adds the grams, and Break down ingredients into nested recipes opens up bases and fillings into their ingredients. |
| Nutritional information | The table calculated for the recipe. You adjust it in the Nutritional information tab. |
| Allergens | Filled in automatically with the allergens of the ingredients and the traces. |
| Shelf life, Final weight, Process control | The best-before days, the product weight and the quality checks of the recipe. |
| Storage and custom blocks | Free text. “Storage” comes as standard; with Add custom block you add “Directions for use”, “Format and packaging” or whatever your customer asks for. |
At the top you choose the Font family and Font size for the whole sheet. Changes are saved automatically.
- 1Product name: the name of the food your customer will see, even if the recipe is called something else.
- 2Template: save this configuration to apply it to other recipes.
- 3Print: generates the PDF. If the recipe has nested recipes, it asks whether to include their sheets.
Templates: the same sheet for all your recipes
Set up a model recipe
Choose a complete recipe, switch on and order the blocks, adjust the font and add your custom blocks.
Save it as a template
Click Save configuration as template and give it a name (“La Plaza sheet 2026”). In any other recipe, choose the template and click Use template.
Associate it with many recipes
All your templates are in Configuration › Technical Sheet. From there you can Create template, Associate the template with several recipes at once and see a Preview with any of them.
Apply the changes
If you modify the template, click Apply changes to associated recipes. It overwrites the font, the configuration and the blocks of all those sheets; it cannot be undone.
A recipe should only be associated with one template. To remove it from one, use Disassociate recipe from this template.
Printing, sharing and watermark
- One sheet: the Print button in the tab, or the Print › Technical Sheet menu in the recipe's top bar.
- Several sheets in one PDF: in My Recipes, tick the recipes and click Technical Sheet in the selection bar.
- Public link: Copy public technical sheet link copies an address that opens the PDF without logging in to Recipok, in your company's language and currency.
- With or without nested sheets: if the recipe uses other recipes (base, filling, cream), the Include the sheets of nested recipes tick box appears when you print or copy the link. Unticked, the PDF and the link only bring the product sheet. Useful when the customer does not need to see your semi-finished products.
- Watermark: upload it in Configuration › Document Settings (PNG or JPG) and tick Technical Sheet under Apply in.
If you have the Cold formulation extension, you can also add its block to the sheet.
Tips
Check the ingredients list on a product with a base or filling: semi-finished products must be broken down in proportion to their weight, with allergens highlighted. Declare the percentage (QUID) of the ingredients highlighted in the product name (“cheesecake”).
- The ingredients block settings are shared with the consumer label: whatever you correct here appears the same on the label.
- If you write the content of an automatic block by hand, it stops updating. Use Restore when you change the recipe.
- For customers who ask for different data, create one template per type of customer (shop, large retail, hospitality).
