Trash: recover deleted ingredients, recipes and production orders
All plans
Recover in one click the ingredients, recipes and production orders you deleted in the last 30 days, from the Journal.
What it is for
Deleted a recipe by mistake, or an ingredient you still needed? Don’t worry. In Recipok, what you delete doesn’t disappear straight away: it goes to the Trash, where you can get it back with one click, exactly as it was.
The Trash is inside the Journal, the screen that brings together the history of emails sent, the account’s events list and deleted items. It is used by whoever manages the account.
Before you start
- It is available on all plans.
- You need the Administrator role to see the option in the menu.
- Only items deleted in the last 30 days can be recovered.
Recover something you deleted
Open the Trash
Open your account menu, top right, and choose Trash. The Journal opens on the Trash tab.
Choose the category
On the left you have Recipes, Production orders and Ingredients, each with the number of deleted items. You can view them as a list or a grid.
Click “Restore”
Each item shows its name and the date it was deleted (“Deleted on”). Click Restore and it goes back where it was: the ingredient to My ingredients, the recipe to your recipe list and the production order to the list of orders.
| Name | Deleted on | |
|---|---|---|
| 35 % cream | 14/10/2026 18:42 | 2Restore |
| Rich tea biscuit | 02/10/2026 09:15 | Restore |
- 1Categories with the number of items deleted in the last 30 days.
- 2Restore puts it back where it was, with all its data.
Worth knowing
- When you restore a recipe that you used as a sub-recipe, its associated ingredient is restored too, so it is available again in other recipes.
- If in the meantime another ingredient or recipe has taken the same reference or SKU, the item is restored without that code so it isn’t repeated.
- Each restore is recorded in the Journal’s Events list, just like each deletion.
Tips
Before deleting an ingredient you think you don’t use, check “View recipes with…” on its row in the list. If it won’t let you delete it, read I can’t delete an ingredient.
The Trash collects what you delete one item at a time. The Delete all unused action in the ingredient list, on the other hand, permanently deletes every ingredient that is not in any recipe: they don’t go through the Trash. Only use it when you are sure.
